    Exclamation Trendchip HG520

    Well hello ppl.,
I ve got the MTNL Triband connection recently(a month ago)
They have installed this ADSL2+ wireless router HG520 from TRENDCHIP
It worked fine for the 1st month, but now I m absolutely unable to get the wi-fi (wireless) connected. However when connected to the LAN port with a cable I m able to connect to the internet.
I have tried changing some basic settings like the password, the channel etc. at the Trendchip homepage 192.168.1.1
but nothing seems to work. The problem when diagnosed by windows seems to be of low signal strength.

    I m using a Toshiba Satellite M100
Windows Vista Home Basic- 32 bit
Intel PRO/ Wireless Networking Adaptor 3945 ABG

Can anybody help...? Bcos MTNL customer service definitely can't help or don't want to help I m not sure. But I ve given up after calling at their call centres for amost a week now...!

Default Intel PRO/ Wireless Networking Adaptor 3945 ABG

    In the TCP/IP properties page
    click configuration for above adapter.
Advanced. ( settings drivers etc )
see what is the present settings.
May not help but just a trial.
    2. What is the channel in use now 6 or 11 ?
    any options?
Do you get any other secured unsecured wireless network/s listed ?

    3. Position the unit at a higher level to improve signal level. You can also change the orientation of the antenna
slightly ( without breaking it !)

4.Please post SNR/ATTN/ mod selected page.
    ADSL status.
