For me the MTNL Triband services worked fine yesterday and day before till 10:30 AM and after that till 6:00 PM there was a total blackout. Same thing happened on both the days and to all the users hooked to Badli exchange. I personally visited the exchange and no one was available to answer any queries. When I called the 1504, the answering the call had a toatally profane opening statement and was not even willing to accept the fault. its later in the evening yesterday that we came to know of the strike and definitely this outage that I faced yesterday and day before was related to the strike otherwise why at a particular time on both the days Internet and land lines for whole area would go kaput.

Lets see if today it works, its still two more hours to go and am praying to god that it should not happen any more.

Yes its working now. But can't believe internet and phone lines were down because of an employees strike. Not good .

At a time when we should be looking for improvements in speeds and making higher speed broadband more affordable and widely available, we have deal with disconnections.
Internet speeds in Japan are more than 45 MBps compared to our 2MBps (which if you are Average to Heavy downloader is not practical in terms of price in India ).

Even with a 512 KBps UL I cant use many of the P2Ps because of the minimum upload of atleast 50-100 KBps which is not even our ddl speeds here in India. With this speed even watching streaming videos is impractical .
It is just so frustrating....................................... ............................................

I wish they would at least make the 2MBps UL available and more afffordable.

Even countries like Malysia and Vietnam have better broadband speeds and packages than India.

When will there be an broadband revolution ????????????????????????

    Sorry for ranting.
    But----------- India shining ?????????
Shine some light over here too............

This just goes to show that never get a connection with the telephone line???

On the part of MTNL this was really bad and i dont think it leaves a good impression on new customers. I think one would consider many times before getting an MTNL connection.

MTNL is gud in terms of broadband services, billing, speed etc........but worse in customer care.....!!! Thats the bad effect of being a PSU...!!! This is my personal view...!!!
And once something goes wrong with MTNL.........just pray that u shudnt be trapped..!!!
