Thread: Vista freezes when usb connected d-link adsl modem glb-802C needs to be switched off

My Windows Vista PC freezes when usb connected d-link adsl modem glb-802C needs to be switched off due to drop in MTNL broadband connection. It is frustating to reboot the PC every time (once in 1.5 to 2 hrs) this happens.

This problem was not there earlier when broadband connection of the same modem was LAN port based. Now due to IPTV, internet has to be USB port connected...

Is this a driver problem or a power problem or anything else? Please help.

yes , this USB can give such issues.. its happened to me before as well.. i ended up getting myself a 5 port switch..
