Thread: MTNL ping problem

Hello,
I m using MTNL 849NU plan.
I generally test my ping using speedtest.net,i test it to netherland(amsterdam) server.generally i used to get a ping of about 180-200 ms,which is sufficient for gaming.

but lately 2 weeks ago i m getting elavated pings of about 210-310 which is causing some problem.
i will like to ask is there any way i can reduce my ping.
i tried using OpenDNS(actually reduced my surfing speed/ping remained unaffected)

no there is nothing much you can do.. its all in the ISP's hands

I also get high ping sometimes. I normally get 206 ping on UK Servers whenever i play games there & 230ms on US servers. Whenever IP reset or i reboot modem my ping goes high. All i have to do then is Open Modem page put ping aeriagames.com -t on and click Disconnect and connect until my ping goes around or lower then 250ms on command prompt running ping to particular site.

MTNL uses multiple routing networks. If your ping is high then you have got busy route station. Keep connecting and disconnect until you see ping difference.
