    Default MTnl is the best

    hi
    i m using mtnl
and believe it or not but i m getting a download speed of 17 mbps
which i suppose is the fastest download speed in india which even beats airtel and its costly 16mbps plan in which user gets a downlaod speed of 7.8 mbps
    check the below link

i m getting such a speed coz i know how to hack mtnl
actually its not hacking but a great trick
i also used mtnl 256 unlimited plan for 2 years and got download speed of 2mbps
    just bcoz of this trick
but now i m using 2mbps plan but due to my trick i m getting a speed of 16mbps that was hard to believe even for me
but this is true this trick involves many steps and softwares too but it actually works i had tried it on my friends computers and now they are too getting a speed of 2mbps in unlimited plan
i may share this trick with few of u
just leave ur email id and if u are lucky i may conact u and share this awesome trick

Wouldn't it be great if you could just post it here, so that all Internet users can benefit. After all sharing is caring.

Don't mislead people here ,first understand that current MTNL network can support max 2 MbPS speed i.e 256kBps, and there is no chance in hell that it can touch that 2176kBps mark(17MbPS) on cheap crappy copper lines, and also there is a possibility of creating fake screen shots so ur pic doesn't prove anything solid, cant u understand one simple thing to get high speeds then u need to have a strong network which currently MTNL wont have and never be.

like u said if software's boost internet speeds then why people subscribe to high speed plans?? does ur trick gives 2mbps speed on 56K dial up modem??? can it?? don't fool people here.

Yes it is possible. You can do it on any modem. This is called uncapping.I have read this in the book - Hacking the cable modem by Dar Engel.
Also this trick can be caught by an attentive ISP easily 7 valid on older modems which are quite common but it will not work on Dlink that easily .And under Indian laws I think you will have to shell out .25 million rupees.

But I don't think that you can get so much of speed without noise in signal unless your MTNL have quite a large safety margin.
History is on the move,my friends. Those who cannot keep up will be left behind, to watch from distance. And those who stand in its way will not watch at all.http://windows7sins.org/
People are going to tell stories about me none of which change who I really am.

the speedtest.net link given by the thread starter is not fake as it had the speedtest.net link.. the speedtest screenshots posted by @farce is obv fake as he has attached it(so he can modify it). get a speedtest screenshot with a link to the speedtest domain .
I dont know how he did it , but yea speedtest did officially record 17mbps for him . Yes , speedtest ifs not very accurate but im sure its not that bad that a 2mbps or 256kbps connection would show as 17mbps..

In USA, 16 mbps+ speeds are possible on the same crappy copper lines that you are talking about. In UK, I had BT Broadband, and I had an 8 mbps connection.

It all depends upon SNR and Line Attenuation.

It is time that you opened up your "crappy" head to thoughts instead of just going ga-ga over Reliance.

why u r comparing UK and USA ADSL network with MTNL one, u may get 100MBPS on their network, and on which basis u said Foreign ISP network is also crappy like mtnl did u dug out their lines to find out what type of network they are using?????, and also i don't care about Foreign isp's our forum is on INDIAN BROADBAND so it will be better if u talk about indian ISP's???

I have been reading all your posts. You know what, Ookla? I think you are mentally retarded.

I gave the example of USA/UK only because I was trying to state that the speeds are possible on copper cables.

Everywhere I go these days (Pune/Mumbai), I curse BSNL and MTNL for having dug up roads. And what are these roads dug up for? To lay down brand new cables. These cables are more than capable of providing 16 mbps or higher speeds.

And that picture in post # 1 is not a fake. Grow up.

Akshay stop misleading people here. You are not alone getting that speed. Something has happened at MTNL's end, which had enabled users getting 23mbps net connection. Maybe everyone is not getting unlike you and me. Who are lucky enough to get it. So enjoy till it lasts but just stop misleading people here with your false boastings.

It's true guys some MTNL users has got lucky enough to get that kind of speed. I don't know how long it will lasts but i am squeezing the hell out of current situation lol and farce i am not convinced on your cut out image and not sure if i believe your future image claims. You can see my signature as i am living in new delhi i have 10 ms ping on Speedtest.net closest server which is owned by Hughes company and my Speed test is authentic. I can't post URL's of images coz of restrictions.

Lol i am not that dumbass to do that fo suo. Besides, these ISP's has squeezed us enough of our money. Had Sify and now MTNL. I had sweet 2mbits unlimited net package for 1year and suddenly they dropped that pacakge from their tarrifs. TRAI ain't doing nothing as they are too stupid to understand that 256Kbps the rule which they made 5 years back is obsolete now. So yea squeeze the hell out of it lol..

Lol it ended today i am back to normal speed, getting atm 300kbps instead of 256kbps tho. I believe our ISP can release such speeds but they are so greedy and limited on resources they can't do that. I mean what the hell is point on mbits net with 4-10 gb download? lol
At least give 60GB limit or something.
