Thread: Want mtnl broadband connection--- just wait for 2 months only !!

Hi guys !!

guess what....I called up airtel to get a broadband connection for my office in old Delhi...however they declined my application saying they dont have connection points near my office.

Then...I thought...MTNL maybe a good choice.....I called up the MTNL call centre...People there were not as professional as in airtel, but since i didnt had a choice, i somehow got my connection request registered with a 7 day installation guarantee.

Around 2 weeks passed since i requested to MTNL, I called the call centre again and they asked to dial after 1 hour because there was some problem with the system ( its ok that their system was down, since it can happen with any1....but it took to over 20 min to reach the operator)...well my bad luck...i called around 1 hour later...and they said a ridiculous statement "JO CONNECTION LAGA HI NAHIN USKE COMPLAINT KASIE LIKHE"..I got mad on the operator after listening this...so she told me.."CALL THE AREA MANAGER"....and for the getting the contact no. of the area manager, i should call the directory service...Now i needed the connection badly...so i called the directory service on 197..took the area managers no. and called him...By this time it was already a month since the registered for the new connection request.

Now, the area manager was like " 7 DIN MAIN TO CONNECTION LAG HI JATA HAI PATA NAHIN ITNE DER KASIE HO GAYI !! LEKIN KAL TAK MAIN CHALO KARA HI DOGA" ...Ahh !! i thought such a nice guy he is..however that tomorrow never came...AND after 7 days daily talking to AM, he gave me the no. of area executive ( I think he was pretty pissed off and didnt wanted that i should call him again for my request)...but for me the chase for the connection went on....now after 10 days talkin to AE nothing happened ( ONE INTERESTING THING Here, since the 5th day after talkin to call centre ,i was daily getting calls from mtnl saying " Connection chalo ho gaya"..but trust me ..daily sirf puchne ke liye calls aati thi...but connection chalo kabhi nahin hua !!)

Finally i went to MTNL office ...incidentally i came to know that bet 3pm to 5 pm, public dealin happens and i can meet the some high ranking mtnl personnel between this time...So i met them...told them my story in a pretty aggressive manner.....however...it took them 7 more days....to finally....START MY CONNECTION !!! FINALLY I WON THE BATTLE....BUT NOW I AM GETTING NIGHTMARES THAT...WAT IF MY CONNECTION NEEDS A REPAIR ?? I THINK THEY WILL TAKE AT LEAST 1 MONTH TO REPAIR IF SOMETHING WENT WRONG !!!

Well , you should go to their Telephone Exchange if you have any problems & talk to your JE ( allocated area wise in BSNL & MTNL both).They even replace your faulty parts for free.

I prefer holonet which is faster than the light.

I booked on Friday Evening , got my connection first thing Monday morning... Weekend or they would have done it the next day .

Fantastic service i must say....

One of my aunt got her connection in 2 days !

PS: She live in Delhi. Had to confirm that first.
