Anyone knows of any mtnl dc++ hubs operating in mumbai/navi mumbai ? If you people are interested, i can create a dc hub if you want.

it will be very grateful if u make a mtnl hub...

dont be rude..

DC++ hub is like a central server from where all of us of same ISP (MTNL in this case) can download at fast speed from each other..its basically like file sharing...for better explanation you can google DC++ or just check it on wikipedia

How much bandwidth will be required to make such a hub?

does anybody knows how to connect dc++ using mtnl broadband....

u cant make hub of mtnl even if u do u wont get speed cos mtnl is not connected thru lans ppl on lan get good speed mtnl is thru modem so no luck in that

why not? ive heard of people setting hubs in dsl based service providers

yes u can but u will get isp speed not land speeds like 10 mbps

Making a hub with mtnl is not going to do any good... rather join some public DC++ hub it would be the same.
As MTNL blocks extra bandwidth and they don't have a concept such as LAN/WAN so this is going to be useless.
I have two MTNL connection in my Apartment and when i transfer files i transfer with my broadband plan.
Don't waste time creating a HUB... no one but you will be logged in
