Lightbulb Procedure for a new connection's activation

If anyone on the forum, can help me out with knowing the procedure of activating a new MTNL broadband connection.
After applying can the user directly connect to the net by himself or does the mtnl employee need to activate some line before connecting.
Can we get username/password directly from mtnl over for eg. the phone.

First they will activate ADSL signal on your line and after that you will get the user name and password from MTNL. MTNL Broadband Engineer is really not required if you are aware of basic broadband setup and if you know broadband modem/router physical setup how to configure router provided by MTNL.

    Hi,

User name is your mtnl phone no@a and password is your CA number. You can get is from mtnl helpline at 1500.
However if the modem is yours then you need to configure it on your own. If the modem is provided by mtnl then they will configure it.
You can call Mr Singh on 9323037765 to configure if you have your own modem. He looks after the configuration in our area.
You can bribe him and get your work done.
