Hey between all this talk has anyone actually experienced the Dhamaka yet?
i called up the exchange yesterday and was told that the request will be forwarded to the engineers on earliest working day. that means a year or so from now ,right.
but i may be able to expedite the process a bit.
i know the local exchange engineer and will be making calls tomorrow, hopefully he will do his work from the exchange itself. if he comes to my home the grease will cost me Rs.50/-

i m also starting a new thread for guys to give their report on when they first speed boost of the independence day Dhamaka. please give your reports soon...

nope,
the ad specifically mentions that
"Existing customers of Unlimited Plan will be progressively migrated to higher speed unlimited plan by 31st Aug 09."
And New Customers will have to request plan migration from 1st sept 09.

hello all,

I am also existing user of MTNL from Jan 2008 till now. I used to get 2mbps unlimited when they launched some offer as New year deal. Then 1-2 months back i got speed of 23mbps i dunno how and why but i enjoyed all speed i got lol.

Now yesterday evening i lost ADSL link i crossed my finger & was praying for some miracle & It happened my speed back to 2mbps dl with 260kbps ul & I have UL Combo plan running atm. So i am not complaining again rofl

My speed is yet to updated from 256kbps to 512kbps.
Anyone knows when they will upgrade all the connections????
