It is nice. But still very expensive. 4K for 2 mbps unlimited and not to mention the added tax.

But 512 kbps UL @ Rs. 999 sounds like a good deal.

Offers are really good even cheap than BSNL UL offer. Still BSNL did not announce any new interesting Broadband offer.

The 512 Kbps plan look good. I can spend around Rs 1000 for a broadband connection. Not more than that.

Has anyone found anything about mtnl delhi? looked in TOI but found nothing.

Can't believe you guys were paying Rs 999 for 256kbps earlier. Its only 599 here.

Does anyone know the new price of 512kbps unlimited in delhi?

    MTNL Shocker:
I don't know if it has affected others. I have been on the DSL 599 pack from 2005, it started of as a
    512Kbps & 1GB then it became
512Kbps & 1GB with 'upto 2Mbps' sync rate was 2048/512 speed Jan 2009 it became
512Kbps & 2.5GB with 'upto 2Mbps' sync rate was 2048/512 some time in Jul '09
the Upload speed which was reduced to 256 Kbps & after I got the bill days before yesterday I was shocked to see on the reverse that even the guaranteed min download speed for this pack has been reduced to 256 Kbps. Current sync rate is 2015/250
Of course one will be tempted to shrug this of as a academic observation & probably written by a lawyer . This shows a lowering of the bar for their QOS. eg: When I check speed on MTNL site for 512 Kbps link I used to get 1.78Mbps & when I try now on the 256Kbps link I get 1.80 so I am supposed to be happy
I wonder what more tweaking they have in store. Has anything like this been done for other packs or is it only for this pack?

Regarding the current I Day announcements, I personally find them unimaginative. More like monkey see monkey do, wrt Airtel. Haven't they bled Mumbai users enough by now. I hope they have something for the limited packs in Mumbai. If nothing changes then Airtel 550 combo pack in Mumbai seems good enough for me.

Yeah ! I am using UL Combo offer and I am quite satisfied also.

But the point is, if yearly they decrease the rates(or increase the speeds at same rate) only then broadband in India would move ahead. We don't want stagnation !

P.S.-I am waiting for Diwali for new & cheaper plans

ofcourse u to would like that, i m just sayingthat take into consideration of us poor(rich) mumbaikars, we have had to pay a rs.440 premium for same connection for so long that u guys have taken for granted. so please dont cry that its unfair, it was actually unfair of mtnl mumbai to charge that premium to mumbaikars. and i am sure u whining delhities will get ur wish and will end up paying only 600 for a 512K connection..........................
hey thats a dream come true for most of india if its done. aint it?
