    Default Contact for MTNL

From the MTNL section I can see that many people have problems contacting MTNL and getting a response from them, well from now on if you do have any problems and they do not get resolved you can send an email to register@mtnl.net.in, and you will be assured to get a response time within 24 - 36 hours!

Whether its a technical problem or an account issue your problems will be resolved in no time, well better than the usual time it takes!

I solve my problems by going directly to GM/AGM if it had not been solved & response is too prompt then.

special contacts then Luke! But its gets really difficult to talk to any higher ranked people as in managerial post people to get problems solved. Be it any customer care department all they say is no one is here or they are in a meeting!

If you have such a contact then tell GM to lower cost of plans in Delhi as in mumbai.

Well MTNL's email is hardly existent their online complaints suck big time!

You're better off calling them on the toll-free number or visiting your nearest Tel. Exchange for any complaints.

I've had many a problem before the Toll-free guys give you the numbers of the offices...they they give you numbers of some other guys & it goes on etc. but in the end you find the right person your looking for lol.

I must say I booked for TriBand online but I was sorta impatient so after 5 days (the limit they give is 7 days) visited their tel.exchange next day their guy showed up & it was activated. Simple really!

Then again in Mumbai....the MTNL guys are really nice...polite etc. Which is always a plus! At least in my experience.

There are many ways to contact for any problem with MTNL.
In Mumbai, as per my experience below are all possible ways to complain for Triband. But none are assured to resolve those problem. No one knows if the problem is handled by whom?

1] Dial 198 to register triband complain.
2] Dial 1504 +3 to get instant help - no one cares what the problem is - just restart computer, restart router, RESET router, delete connection and create it....nothing more..
3] Local Exchange Numbers: about 14 numbers I've, almost goes unanswered anytime. If any pickups, you will be surprised to see Mr. Yadav and Mr. Panday reaching on every call from you. But no resolution. [28011200, 28627232, 28020701, 28062200, 28061300, 28061200, 28612200 jto, 28616000, 28631300, 28662200, 28632000 and many others.]
4] Contact prabhadevi triband: If you get luck someone will pick up and make you wait for the limit of your passions. [24361221, 24322871, 24319565, 24329464, 24319565-7, 24388802, 24321208, 24363181]
    5] Online Booking: http://selfcare.mtnl.net.in/MumbaiSe...iSelfcare.aspx :
Find the appropriate place and fill the form. Wait for your next anniversary to get reply.
6] Send email to Local Exchange GM, BBGM, etc...: will get a call asking "Internet is working?" if you said indirectly that it is working right now, you are gone. Complain closed.
7] Send emails to area officers and regional officers: wait and watch for them...wait for you...
8] Local Exchange GM: Possibly a little bit of good attitude and your problem gets resolved for a day or two in 30 minutes. So keep calling GM office to resolve the issue at fastest possible speed, but the problem is resolved for 2 days and if you are lucky , 4 days. Call again.. Have fun...
9] Mumbai ED Office...I've call ED almost 3 times and was suggested to call GM office if problem remains unresolved then call back again. I'm waiting for 1 day more and will have to face one more MTNL illusion of customer care.

Checkout the topic with the name "No Response from MTNL even after 2 month of complains" for my experience and conversation via email. You will get email ids of GM, DGM, ED etc..

If you ever find any newer ways, let me know...

I'm unable to post links, the topic ""No Response from MTNL even after 2 month of complains" is under the "MTNL Broadband" forum.
