I recently got MTNL Triband connection and they provided me a TrendChip HG250 wireless modem. But for some reasons I am not able to browse the internet using the wireless capability. The modem never appears in the wireless connection option.

I can browse ok if I am hardwired to the modem. I use a HP Laptop running Windows XP, can someone please let me know what I need to do to be able use wi-fi. BTW I tried to connect through a Macbook using OS X (Leopard) and it detects the wireless modem fine and am able to browse the net fine.

Not sure what configuration settings I need to do on the HP laptop to connect to the net via wi-fi. Any help on this will be highly appreciated.
