I know a few people from MTNL Triband customer base

In kandivali it goes down for days together and even on the days it works - it drops connection very very often and black out periods of one hour and more are not uncommon.

I live in Kandivali and this is my experience. Hopelessly searching for a decent provider.

A few more words this time around, wherever you live in Bombay, whichever exchange you are connected too, MTNL uses the same equipment,same software's to deliverer BB to your home. I have lot of friends connected to the Kand exchange and they are totally satisfied with the service compared to the horrendous service they got from the Pvt ISP's in the past.Don't be hopeless,if you think the Pvt ISP's are God's gift to Bombay, go ahead and switch over you will regret it.They make you pay for their articulate well trained CC staff, tall promises, but their service at the end of the day is worse than MTNL. U wud have a pleasant experience with triband if u're not facing any problems
It wud just luk flawless....
But "HELL" if u're facing problems wid either the connection,speed etc....
It will strike u're mind to change ur ISP the very next day...

Dost, ya people have different experiences with MTNL or whatever, but at the end of the day MTNL with all drawbacks, its untrained sloppy staff still gets my vote, compared to my experience all other PVT ISP's in the past, and SMS lingo in a Internet forum SUCKS bigtime !!!

MTNL IS A GOVERNMENT COMPANY AND ITS CHANCE OF CHEATING ARE THE LOWEST AS COMPARED TO PRIVATE ISPs. I HAVE READ MANY AIRTEL , RELIANCE AND TATA INDICOMs FORUM . WHITH THESE ISPs THERE ARE FREQUENT BILLING PROBLEMS, NET CONNECTIVITY DOWN FOR DAYS, LACK OF PORT AVAILABILITY IN A PARTICULAR AREA AND MANY OTHER SUCH PROBLEMS. I HAVE BEEN USING MTNL FOR FIVE YEARS NOW AND I FEEL ITS THE BEST.

MTNL is bad then what are others : worst.
I know MTNL is bad because they are charging me 1120 for 512 kbps but my chinese counterparts are paying 5 $.
But what about airtel or others.

No ISP is good or bad, it depends upon personal experience.

Yeah price wise China is the best nearly in all sectors , that why they have nearly 2.5 Trillion US Dollars in Foreign exchange in their kitty.
