Thread: High Speed...but don't get Excited

On speedtest i get 28.84Mb/s and upload speed as 0.22 Mb/s
Although it shows v.high speeds, it isn't..
I donno, i get these kind of results on speedtest for couple of days,
but the download speed is very nominal i.e. 30-35k's only.
3 days back it used to be 200 k's.
I am currently on NU 849.
I complained abt it once, yet no action has been taken.
Can any one throw light on what the problem could be???

P.S: the rate of disconnection has also increased tremendously.

thats attainable rate i.e 28.84 mbps
however you will get max speed from NU 849 which is mentioned on website of MTNL and no matter what you do you wont get anything higher mentioned on website.

check mtnl website for speed of NU 849.

and i wanted to know the reason for this dropping of speed
of 200k's - 30k's in the recent few days..
I have called them up and they say ur line is fine...
But even at night the net disconnects a lot and i don't get
the speed anywhere near 200k's.

P.S: what is the logic behind 599UL(256kpps) if u're getting
the same speed at NU 849(which is supposed 2 be 256kbps-2Mbps)
Y reduce the speed of the Night Unlimited???

This was for the old Router I got it replaced From MTNL...
On the new one I do not get such high speeds on Speedtest
But the downloads are very slow...
