I am online and the net works fine, if thats what query 3 is supposed to mean.

I don't use a dialer and am not asked for a user Id or password while connecting to the internet. If my modem is on and the computer is connected, I am automatically online.

I intend to use my iPod touch using the wifi network, and I really need to get this resolved soon

well presume you've tried the default username and passwords like admin/admin and admin/password .. do you know your WAN( i.e. mtnl ) username and password? just incase you need to reset your modem to regain access to it

Wink How to install Belkin Router with MTNL

    Dear All,
I purchased this Belking "Surf" over Belking "Basic"at Rs 2090 from chroma as it have 2 antenna thus have MIMO technology for my MTNL line...

I tried configuring myself ...failed ..called for belking support..after a long wait .. a lady replied and assisted me .. and wooola
    It worked ..

    Here what she told
after connecting router with modem ..connect your lappi on wireless using preset password (written below the router).
    Now type 192.168.2.1
"NOTE If you have put any static IP on your lan or wifi connection please remove it put it to obtain automatically option ----or else this Belkin login page will not come"

go to setup type in belking setup page..
    Chose "STATIC IP"

Enter your preset IP which you use on comp

    in my case it is

    192.168.1.100-210
    255.255.255.0
    192.168.1.1

    save..
put your wifi address as obtain automatically

Save and exit.. your router will show solid green light after a restart..
