    Default MTNL Broadband Plans

If your are tired of using slow internet connection even in the name of broadband then it is time you have a look at the MTNL broadband service and its plans. This is one of cheapest broadband plans available for internet connection today. Besides cheap rates the MTNL offers excellent speed. You can find 3G EVDO data card broadband connections that can offer 3.1 Mbps speed. The registration and activation charge of MTNL plans are according to general tariff and there are off course installation and activation charges which are quite low. There is one time upfront charge which is not refundable and comes with the telephone bill. If you wish to get the IPTV or VoIP then the service charge will be extra which will at the rate of Rs 100/- per service. There is also necessary of refundable deposit security of Rs.999/-.

Get MTNL broadband plans and get free VOD for 12 months free and after the free subscription expires, the per month charge would be applicable at the rate of 30/-. The individual content charge off course varies and that is available in the website of MTNL. Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited offer number of broadband plans and services to those who wish to enjoy incomparable broadband plans. At present it is possible to get broadband plan at the rate of Rs.49 per month and free downloads of 200MB in cities like Mumbai and Delhi.

Getting broadband connection at Rs.49 is perhaps the cheapest broadband connection in India and you wonít find such low tariff rates except MTNL. Besides very few broadband connection in India can offer 2 Mbps speed of internet download speed. People were very much skeptical with the services of MTNL when it launched it firstís broadband internet connection, but today it is considered one of the best broadband internet connectivity and nearly 75% of population of Delhi and Mumbai who use internet use the MTNL connectivity.

Why would be they not choose MTNL. Its just a matter of perception. MTNL is public sector therefore many think it is a crap which it is not.

It's been 14 days now that i have lodged a requirement for a new broadband connection. After two verifications (and the visiting personnel themselves expressing their satisfaction over the docs provided) i am yet to hear from MTNL.

I am unsure about the status of my requirement. Called customer care cell at 01122221500 8 times with no success. Every time, the call drops (with a automated voice saying 'the mobile you are trying to contact is unavailable') in the mid way and within the first 50 secs of the beginning of the conversation.

Just sent a mail quoting my situation to MTNL at the address 1500@bol.net.in

I am all at sea because the area i have shifted to recently does not have Airtel connectivity. The data card plans are costly (especially going with my large data up/down load requirements) and from my experience i have come to know that they are inconsistent as well.

    Any help?

Who would want a sh*# connection of airtel...
everyone except MTNl in the big players,
    1: charge more then MTNL,
2: have a definite FUP(thats Fair Usage Policy)
3: thier unlimited plans are in name only..

just check the fine print of the contracts...

on MTNL I Can download 200GB per month and they will not make a peep....
can you say the same for Airtel, Reliance, TATA, or anyone else for that matter..

MTNL Rocks. Fair and Simple. I never had problems, real problems actually. The guy (lineman) shows up within 2 hrs if I ever register a complaint on #198

And I enjoyed 2Mbps for 18 Months, while paying only for 256kbps :P
So I love MTNL. I miss the speed now, but hey Who Am I To Complain?
