    Default why does rebooting my modem changes the story

    iam on mtnl 512 plan 999 which is now 1mbps wipeeee but still enjoying 2 mbps.

    now lately iam facing

    slow surfs
    laggy youtube
    dumb utorrents

    and many stuff which i wasnt facing 3 months ago

    but whenever i reboot the modem or just replug it the story changes ( i know a newer ip is assigned which changed the story)

    but i dont understand what does the new ip do

    In mumbai in which area are u located, the story changes back to 2Mbps or ..
    u lucky fella ..I want to relocate to your area

    i am facing the same problem..........just a few hours of good speed n then everything is back to pathetic speeds!!!!!!!.......n restarting the router gives good speeds again!!!!!!

    I experienced the same. At times its PEAK at times its CRAP. There was consistency before.. now I go from 200 kbps + (230 / 220) downloads to 20/30 Max. Its wierd cause I have a NetMeter that measures total UP & DOWN speeds real time and shows in status bar.
