    1. Changing DNS may help. 208.67.222.222, 208.67.220.220

    2. Go to speedtest.net, perform a speed test and post the forum link here.

    3. Post you device status page.

    4. Disable your firewall and try.

Speed test result seems to be fine. Did you checked your firewall. Disable Microsoft security essentials for some time and try. It must be some antivirus suit that is blocking the connection. Check the upstream and downstream rates in modem menu.

Use these tools from Measurement Labs to check if the ISP is throttling your Internet speed... http://www.indiabroadband.net/broadb...-best-isp.html (M-Lab, Google's answer to P2P filtering | How to choose best ISP)

If you are in Mumbai go to MTNL website. and check your Usage Information..Your upload Volume/ Download Volume
Your upload information should not be more than 2% of your downloaded MB

If you are not uploading anything, but your upload is too high then you have a problem

Is your Java up todate, it could be Corrupted.

Go to Add and Remove and check how many java proggies are there.Only the latest version should be installed

How many Firefox extensions have you installed , kindly name them

its a problem with the any of these

1: broswer java/flash/script settings change settings to unlimited from preset 100kbs.(to do this right click for options, scroll in the options and you will get storage change it to unlimited).

    2. dns settings, change to any of the free ones.

    3. your ip maybe in the server's blacklist, use proxies.

    4. anti-virus webshield scanning the file, making it slow. Change settings, exclude particular url for some time.

    5. kya ginti gin rahe ho?? go and ask your customer care..
Site from home gaya bhad mein... AIrtel se bolo FUP band kare.. BSNl se bolo 3G signal do!!!!>: (

The huge upload may be due to your torrents. However you should check your upload only when you are downloading from RS, Deposit etc. Log off the net reconnect and start downloading a file say about 100 MB from RS, during this time don't surf the net or upload anything, once its done disconnect and then check your upload for that particular time period .

Which extensions are you using, is your windows up to date ?

Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited Mumbai, A Government Of India Enterprise >>>>Broadband >>> Go down to Check usage
Email reg >>> Enter your Login details >>>Customer Web Care should open >>>Click on Usage Information >>>Select the range say from 1st Feb till 24th Feb >>> Voila the 8th Column is Upload Volume MB, 9th is Download Volume MB

The upload Volume data is as important, as you can judge what is being uploaded from your computer, with or without your knowledge

    @ rohandani

Please try using the jDownloader which is a download manager especially for sites like rapidshare, megaupload etc... For more information, check out : (Review | 5 Power Download Managers)
