Well last month, BSNL has slapped me with extra usage bills. It was also getting reflected in web usage but i was sure something is wrong as i never used it.

However i had no proof , i paid bill.

But started observing usage also subscribed to their usage SMS service.

Not to mention , usage mention in SMS and Web Log DOESNT MATCH for sametime line.

    Here are proof.

SMS showing Higher usage as of 26 March 10.

Weblog showing Lower usage as of 31 March 10.

How can take up this complaint. I am sure, they have cheated on me last month also.

    Guys .. just be aware....

^^^ I do not agree to the fact that Rental has been waived on this plan. Though the way they are advertising it looks like that.

Now see the facts. Until 16th Feb 10 256 kbps unlimited plan was costing 599/-. Then the speed was doubled for most of the plans. My speed became 512 kbps by paying the same rent of 599/-.

Now they withdrew the 256 kbps plan itself and launched 495 combo plan. Effectively the rental for 256 kbps would have reduced to 300 Rs since all the speeds were doubled. Now they smartly added another 195 Rs and made it combo plan with Zero Rental. Here the call tariff's are similar to 150 Rs Plan and addtional 45 Rs for the extra bandwith they are offering from 256 kbps to 320 kbps.

Its very smart move by Mtnl, but neverthless they are offering the best plans currently.

This 495 Combo pack is basically meant to break the back of all the pvt ISP's, and it does seem to have worked going by the tremendous response and new bookings that it has received. Thousands of old MTNL customers have dumped their pvt ISP's and switched back to MTNL to this 495 Combo plan.

You get a MTNL landline phone NO Rent ..320kbps BB Unlimited very Reliable hassle free BB Internet ..who is complaining.
Anyways who uses a land line phone nowadays to make outgoing calls ...

MTNL Rocks Keep up the goodie good work

^^^ I certainly agree that MTNL has the best plan's I am using it since last 3 years...and probably would have got only 2-3 days of downtime during these 3 years.

The aspect which I do not agree is, why call it as Zero Rental combo plan? Simply make the 320 kbps plan for 345 Rs/- and let customer's choose which Landline plan they want, they would anyways have minimum of 495 Rs.

This way people will have lot of flexibility to choose their out going call plan's.

I think there is a waiver of 250 rental from our telephone bill... Ideally, we are just paying 225 for unlimited internet.

You are paying only 225 per month? What plan is this? Is it Mtnl?

Nopes...You got me wrong...What i meant was that if you deduct 250 rs (i.e. rent that you have to pay for your land line irrespective of number of calls you make) from 495...you are paying 225 for internet......

As I had already mentioned that MTNL would reduce the speed after few days, they did reduce my speed now I get avg speed of 50kbps for my 512kbps connection, during first few weeks i got speed upto 220kbps , but now its reduce to around 50-60kbps, I think everyone is facing the same thing
