Thread: Can i go back to MTNL now ?? -- After 2 years

This is the Scenario .. (FLASHBACKKKKKK)

about 2 - 3 years back i had MTNL in my house room no.1

i had the Night Unlimited connection

They gave me alot of day usage charges which was totally FAULTY . as i had a bandwidth monitor with me

a bill of 5.5k was sent instead what should have been 2k MAX !!

thats when my dad fought with MTNL guys n refused to pay the bill unless corrected

they did not correct it ..

since then i am using TATA unlimited connection

now TATA is giving me 512kbps for 999/-

I want to SWITCH OVER TO the NEW MTNL's 1Mbps Unlimited connection for 999/-

Here is the Deal ..

Now i have 2 rooms

Room no.1 - for which i had the earlier MTNL (Read Details Above) &
Room no.2

1. Can i now take a New connection in the name of Room no.2 ??
2. What Documents will i require to get a new line + unlimited broadband ??
3. And what would be the total costings ?

Notes ...

I can even take a new connection in the name of my neighbour (Room No.3) .. who is ready to help me with his documents .. and he wont use the line .. n will forward me the bills .. but that still is the secondary option

I am not gonna use the phone line to make any calls as every1 in my house has a mobile phone

Room no 1 is in name of Dad & Grandfather
Room no 2 is in name of Dad & Mom

AFAIK
- No monthly CPE charges for UNLTD connection
- 12.5% Tax



P.S. Dont flame this thread im not doing something illegal here.. if i was i wouldnt have bother to post it here .. i was just another frustrated customer of MTNL NU Issues ...

You could give it a try. If they can link your old (overdue) account, they will insist on settlement of old bill.

I had asked for a settlement about 5 months back which they refused ..

can u tellme what documents will i need to get a telephone line & broadband ?

i can ask my neighbour to help me out

u will need ID and Residence proof

pick two in the following

electricity bill,voter ID, bank pass book, driving license, passport etc

and remember don't show old proof that u have shown earlier in MTNL use another person id in ur home to be on safe side a friend of mine also have over billing issues with mtnl after 6months he got a new connection by showing different id.

i think you can get another connection but it should not be in the name of previous connection. Recently my friend had taken a new connection in his name knowing that they had an overdue amount of Rs 6000 to be paid.... .
I think mtnl guys dont care about pending and overdue connections and are ready to install a new.

This kind of posts should not be allowed in this forum

Just call up 1504 and tell them your problem and they will solve it pronto ..

You have not done anything illegal, here there or anywhere, so why do you need help here ..just call 1504 and they will give you a connection pronto ...MTNL is desperate for new connections revenue

For booking a new connection call 1500

You can get a new connection at the same address in a different name like another family member.

If you have more then one floor in your house just say house number so and so first floor or something like that.

Mtnl will file a recovery suit sooner or later... I have a similar thing going on but it was for international calls not broadband.
