Thread: slow site download speed, fast torrent,RS speed

ok iam on mtnl 1 mbps plan getting 2 mbps

now i just added a wireless router for wifi in the house so family can use (laptops,cell) and my pc wired with wireless lan. now after doing this i started my net and it was so freaking sloww i restarted modem,wlan,pc but nothing happened, so i removed it frm wlan and connecte to direct modem and everything was f9 but even connecting to modem directly its still slow (faster then wlan)

i dunno wat the freaking prob even the pings are 300 400 damnnn high

plzz help me out wat is wlan doing i dont get it


P.S; iam wired to wlan (iam not wireless on my pc)

P.S: no one is using wlan wireless so dont point that out

I think there is a problem with the wireless router you are using.
Mention the model number of it so that if anyone using the same can help you.

Also
Mention the DNS Servers you are using.

well its the belkin G router wireless and the dns is normal on automatic, first i tired with googl dns 8.8.8.8 but it dint help so changed it to auto

s the funny part yesterday nite the surfing was slow and speed test was 1.8mpbs and now the surfing is fast on WLAN and speedtest in 0.51

wait wait again i did speedtest now it says 1.9mbps

but still the download from torrents and RS is good 200-220


and ftp downloads are 8-20kbps

and after i disabled firewall frm my belkin wlan i see improvement but still y is ftp downloads are so slow


EVEN YOUTUBE IS GOOD NOW , but all ftps are slow i tested

and ping test

300 ms on seattle and 40 ms on mumbai server

Use FlashGet(??)-Best Download Manager to download any file from Softpedia or Cnet server and see the downloading speed.
