Default Best DSL modem for MTNL Mumbai TriBand?

    Hey my Fellow TECH guru's....

    I currently have D-Link GLB 802C modem.

Trying to get the green indicator in utorrent but to no avail.

Tried - Portforwarding. Never worked. Same Red Exclamation

My Firewall is off in Windows as well!

I have another connection of Tikona...with windows firewall on...utorrent icon goes green!

    So please guide me here...

Either pls suggest me a new good brand modem in which port forwarding actually works....

If you know any kindly give me the number of the seller or online where you find it.

No I dont want to take it from MTNL!

Or pls explain it to me here the configuration

Pls dont point me in some guide on portforward or that. Those guides charge money....

I'm going to Services in GLB 802C

    Then in NAT

    Then NAT Rule Entry

I'm entering new Rule ID no.3

    IF Name - All

    Rule Flavor - Port Forwarding

    Protocol - Any

    Local IP - 192.168.1.3

    Local IP to - 192.168.1.3

(I even put it as 192.168.1.4)

This never works....still exclamation box in utorrent!

    GUIDE ME PLEASE!

    I have this other problem...

Like webpage doesnt load for 2 mins...then it starts loading again.

Man I swear nothing is wrong with my computer.

    Is it my modem??

Or this is MTNL's fault?? Like 2 mins I click open webpage it says loading then says error...

then like I sit & try after 3 mins it works again

THIS PROBLEM has come since like October 2009...it was there before also but used to happen only at 8 am - 8.30 am mornings

Now this happens like GOD KNOWS ANYTIME!

Switch to Bridge mode. All ports are open in Bridge mode.

Which anti virus do you use ? Disable it and try.

Type 192.168.1.1 in your browser. ID and password is admin. Check the LHS panel, select " internet connection ". Edit it and you will find an option to choose between Bridge and PPPoE.

Bridge mode is same as dial up mode.

I put it in bridged mode...

My utorrent ports go open Everything is ok!

    But I'm on Windows 7 x64...

I get call drop-out in Skype EVERYTIME in bridged mode!

Yes I tried it like 10 times now Normal mode & Bridged mode....

I get call drop out in skype after 2 min after 9 mins in bridged mode! Forever!

In normal mode it goes on for hours!

But Yahoo call works with my friends even in bridged mode...

But I need's skype...I get call drop outs in Birdged mode!!

What could be the cause!? I even turned my firewall off...still call drop!

Please explain..? I am pretty familiar with networking stuff but it would be nice if someone could explain if/how in ADSL bridge mode is like dial up? Or am I taking it in the wrong context?
