Hey Guys,
I wanted to know whether I can configure a static IP for my router without paying MTNL.

MTNL charges 1000bucks per year for a static IP.
I dont have any problems with a dynamic IP but have problems setting up CS servers.

Please help.

PS-Can anyone tell me how to setup servers using dynamic IP's?? thanks a ton

anyways its just 500 Rs/- and the reason i hate non-steam is 7/10 are hackers,wallers or on aimbot

Reliance charges 2000 per year for static IP and considering you are getting in 1000 then its not that expensive if you are so passionate about hosting and keep in mind u just cant get it in FREE it takes some time to activate Static IP(2 days in reliance) by their back end.

Mihir you want everything for free! I'm sure you have windows also for free!

You should ask us how to activate the DSL service itself for FREE! LOL!

A new shiny graphics card, processor & some RAM just to see it become obsolete in 6 months & drop to half price?

FYI - Mostly all the best Anti-virus is free now. AVG, Avast etc.

And...instead of spending Rs.3,500 + on new sticks of shiny OC'able RAM I'd rather be happy with my current RAM & upgrade to a Genuine Windows 7 Basic edition.

But hey! Everyone is different.

I'm not forcing you to buy orginal...Do what you like!


Regarding your thread. You can keep your modem on I guess....& host the server...unless you face disconnection or power failure issue...it shouldn't be a problem.

I got a pc for 35k(RADEON HD5670,19" full hd lcd,AMD PHENOM X4 3.2ghz,3 gig DDR3)
I dont spend my dads money on OG stuff cuz i need to save for education(M aiming for IIT or UDCT or VJTI or MIT)
So dont tell me I waste my dads money
I get all gadgets because I study hard and I get them as gifts

If OG cds are reasonably priced I buy them. eg:GTA 4 at rs 500
