Thread: Dynamic ip gets changing without rebooting the modem....

Now i have started facing another problem..
whenever i start my sterlite modem... it takes a dynaic ip..now when i start apex DC++ with manual port forwading so it takes my external ip source...ie wan/external ip which shall be constant for one time connect..but whats happening is without restarting the modem my external ip is changing constantly so my hubs are geting disconnected and my download is not gettng possible...earlier with mtnl i was doing it nicely but yesterday it all started to mess up..
need immediate help from u guys....
that y my ip is changing continuosly without restarting the modem...i mean dynamic ip...is there a setting with sterlite model for this ???
and my modem is also not getting connected...i.e this address 192.168.1.1

I Havent got a reply from ur end
But it has happend again yesterday.. I dont know but i guess that the problem may be becuase of continuous disconnections from server side...my phone line is intact but my ip changes that too dynamic ip without turning off the modem...

Dynamic IP usually changes every 15 hours(ie if you keep the modem connected for the duration). The refreshing of IP in your case as you said looks quite likely due to the disconnection from the server end.

As for your second question first give the feedback asked by @essbebe in this post http://www.indiabroadband.net/mtnl-b...on-please.html (Router page not opening !!! Any suggestion please)
