Default 2 questions about NU plan

Two basic quest... forgive me I'm a novice

My dad told me he's got the 1GB plan installed. I checked in the tariff table there's only one such plan and that is with NU. So does this mean I have the NU plan (my dad doesn't know and doesn't know how to find out).

There are many posts about automated scripts et al for the usage. Are these REQUIRED? If I'm around at 12 and 8 to actually MANUALLY switch on/off the PC, do I still need these scripts???

These may sound like stupid questions but like I said, am a novice so please help me out.

Your question isint very clear to me (may be coz ive been sitting infront of the pc since last 30+ hours now) but as far as I understand you mean to ask (correct me if I am wrong) that do you need the scripts that turn on the downloads when the downloads are not counted towards your usage (night time in this case) Then no you dont need them if you can do that manually.

The best thing to do (to find out which plan you have got) would be call customer care and ask them and do it a couple of times so you get two different people giving the same info (sarkari nature of bsnl has room errors) so you can be sure that you have the right info.

even better... to know your scheme, just go to http://register.mtnl.net.in and login using your telephone number and password is your Customer Account number (you can find this in your telephone bill).

There u can find all the info about ur scheme!

    1) You can find out about your plan by going to http://register.mtnl.net.in

    2) If you plan to manually restart your router, you don't need the scripts. Those scripts / programs are for the lazy users like us who need it done automatically
