Thread: Speed & Download Problem in 2MBps plan of MTNL

Hi i am using the plan of 2MBPS of MTNL & having the Serlite SAM300AX Modem but from the last 1 month i am not getting the proper surfing and download speed when i check at my modem 192.168.1.1 it shows the below information

Line State : Showtime
Modulation : ADSL2 PLUS
Annex Mode : ANNEX_M

Downstream Upstream
SNR Margin : 14.3 27.4 db
Line Attenuation : 44.6 28.0 db
Data Rate : 2287 1021 kbps

when i complaint to MTNL they changed my telephone wire but nothing much happen i'm getting the speed of 965Kbps (surfing) & 30Kbps (download)

Your line attenuation is high. check for blackened/corroded/oxidized contacts.

Disable Annex M mode .

Try mod mode GDMT.

Recheck snr/attn data.

You may also change DNS to Google 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

Thanks for ur reply regarding my issue. As i have done all possible things to solve my issue i found that there is some problem with MTNL Telephone Wire which comes from Pole to my place, bcoz the quality of the wire is not good if u round it the outer cover get break & wire get stick with wall and creat Earthing Prblm so can u sugesst any GOOD QUALITY Of Wire which i can purchase from market & get it replaced.
