Thread: For response of mumbai users, what is your true downtime? Please help

Hi.

I am switching from hathway 512 plan to MTNL. My main fear is downtimes since 4-5 hours during working hours i run mission critical applications. My experience with hathway has been decent with downtimes of half an hour every 15 days.

Can all you mumbai users please respond with what is the actual downtimes you have undergone on say a monthly basis with number of downtimes & period of downtime. It would really help me a lot in making the switch to MTNL. Thanks in advance.

1 to 2 minute downtime in 1 month with Airtel

Thanks. However since i was wanting to shift to MTNL, i was hoping some of the MTNL users could provide their inputs.

with mtnl ull get down times depending on ur area i used to get frequent downtimes but my cousin hardly ever gets it

I had taken MTNL in Borivali(W), Mumbai. The service was fine however the downtime in the first week was 3 days, No response, Customer service knew that the service was not working but did not have any time scales.

Your fear is right....Look for some other ISP....Aditya

1 week downtime for me in 6 MONTHS

u will hardly get any downtime with mtnl....as far as there is no disturbance or noise with ur landlines....and how far u are from the mtnl exchange...sometime rebooting the mtnl routers fix the problems...till now i have never experienced any downtime...but i have heard people facing problem during rains....if ur living in a water logging area u may face some problem..u need ask other people in ur area how is the service .
