Question Using Airtel Modem 110TC1 for MTNL broadband

    My 1st post..

I have an Mtnl connection with modem 300 R2U and router WRT54G2..I want to use my Airtel modem instead, Beetel 110tc1 with my Mtnl broadband because no matter how much i try i simply am not able to port forward on 300r2u for playing cod online on my iphone...however i am able to play without any hassle or port forwarding on the airtel modem

But after configuring 110tc1, the connection disconnects after every 30 secs or a minute, and half the sites don't open!!
however the connection works fine with the r2u modem..

here's what i changed to make the airtel modem work on mtnl
    vpi:0
    vci:32
    username:mtnl username
    password:mtnl password
    Multicast:IGMP disabled

    what am i doing wrong??

ive posted pics of both configurations.

Default 110TC1 Beetel for MTNL delhi

    Hi Sehej,
Am sure by now, you would have resolved this and already got going with your mtnl connection. In any case for benefit of others. providing the attachment with the configuration details for the Airtel modem - Beetel 110TC1 on MTNL delhi.

    1. Make the changes as indicated in the attachment.
    2. If you are not sure about the password call 1504, they can reset or change your password from their end.
    3. "Save" the settings.
    4. Goto Maintenance > SysRestart > Current Settings to restart the modem
    5. The modem on restart redirects you to the status page. Scroll down to the bottom the status of the last line should be "ADSL status : Connected".
    6. It take about 15-20 minutes for the password to activate!!!. So be patient and try again, before bugging 1504 again.
