Yet Another Port Forwarding Thread

I have an MTNL 300R2U modem with WRT54G2 router, and I for the life of me am not able to port forward on my connection. I have tried everything. through virtual server, DMZ, tweaking DHCP, bridge mode. After trying all this, now I am even more confused.

Can somebody please give me step by step instructions to start from scratch.

Please help this poor soul.

Yes I did. The port I'm trying to forward is for COD on my iPhone. I've tried setting a static ip for the phone. Then put that ip address in the DMZ of 300r2u. Still doesn't work. I've tried port range forwarding on the R2U AND the Wrt54g. I'm sure I'm missing or doing something wrong somewhere which is why I need "how to" instructions.

Please help.

Option 1 :
try only with UT300r2U in "Always On" PPP/PPPoE mode.
( userid and PW entered in WAN page settings ).

It's already on pppoe mode.
Where is the port triggering menu item? These are the options I have. Do you mean Virtual Server?

Following the page you referred me, I'm trying to forward a port for Azureus right now, because I figure if I can do that successfully then I'll apply the same approach to portforward cod on the iphone.
Through ipconfig, my computer was alloted the ip 192.168.0.100 and default gateway 192.168.0.1
I gave it a static ip 192.168.0.135 in the network settings.

However when I type 192.168.0.1 in the browser, firefox gives the the WRT54G router page rather than the mtnl page which is at 192.168.1.1
Isn't this a problem since the deafult gateway is 192.168.0.1 and not 192.168.1.1?

Also in virtual server when i filled the static ip 192.168.0.135 it gave me this error msg
"IP must be same as LAN subnet IP"
which I suspect is because the problem I mentioned above.

192.168.1.1 is the Default Gateway .

Test : you will get modem page log in only.
when connected to Internet go to
http://myipaddress.com
type it again in browser address bar.

Did you try PF only with the ADSl modem ?
Each system must have an Ip address. and
adsl modem and WIFI router will have different ip's.

Obtain IP address automatically.apply SAVE.

well since i want to portforward on the iphone using wifi, doing it without the router is pointless. so now what do i do?

Did you try PF only with the ADSL modem ?

confirm Iphone shows same ssid as seen in laptop ( if any)
or as entered in wifi router.

By adsl modem only? do you mean when connecting the mtnl modem directly to the computer without a wifi router? No, I haven't.

Confirm your port forwarding set up is working ONLY with Ut 300R2U.

Well I can confirm that port forwarding IS working with only adsl modem.

I've attached a screenshot. Port open in both UDP/TCP although it says that it wasn't able to ping my router.

So how do I do it WITH the WRT router?
