Default Mtnl T-KD 318-EUI/UT-300R2U router startup time......

Hi, i am living in Pitampura, Delhi and i am using mtnl broadband. Recently i started having connectivity problems with my MT882 modem, which they have finally replaced with a T-KD 318-EUI/UT-300R2U. On this modem, the ADSL link is very stable and everything is fine.

The only problem is that on startup, when modem power is turned on, it takes around 4-5 tries for the ADSL link to come up and become stable. On my MT882, the ADSL link use to come up in the first try itself. I like to keep everything turned off when not in use, so the time taken by the modem to establish ADSL link is quite important for me. Once the ADSL link is up, its very stable and works like a charm.......

Please let me know if i can rectify this by making any configuration changes in the router settings or if it is normal functioning of the router.

Also please let me know if i need any firmware upgrade. The current ver of my router firmware is R100B02.7AS.D

Presume you are using "Dialer" mode.
    (1)
    Try these DNS google's : 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
    (2)
Check mod mode selected is GDMT
    Uncheck ADSL2 + box
    (3)
    Check under statistics ADSL data.
    Report snr attn values.
    (4)
TRY "Always On" PPP/PPPoE instead of "Bridged"
    (5)
if i need any firmware upgrade
    Not recommended.
    Feedback item wise.

Thanks a lot for the reply, i am using PPPoE mode, will try changing the modulation and DNS servers.

One more question is that apart from the DNS servers in the network connection properties, i have a page in the router settings also, which lists the DNS servers and by default these are not the same as the servers in the network connection properties. Do i need to change the router DNS settings also?......Please help......
