Smile ADSL Router D-link 802C frequently disconnecting

I have an MTNL broadband connection. was using previously D-link 502T and was getting good speed. Recently I bought D-Link 802C and connected it to the parallel telephone connection in bedroom. I am switching "ON" only one modem at any point of time. Recently i am facing a problem of frequent dis-connection on my 802C router (every 18-25 seconds ). Please let me know, what is the solution?

    Thanks in advance

I bought D-Link 802C and connected it to the parallel telephone connection in bedroom.
frequent dis-connection on my 802C router (every 18-25 seconds )
I think D LINK 802C has a built in adsl splitter and provision to connect PHONE is also there.
Connect Rj11 from Bedroom Bsnl port to Modem and telephone from modem port.
    confirm any improvement.
    2.
    or use additional ADSL splitter.
    3.
confirm you have user manual for the unit.

    Red face

Essbebe thanks for your quick efforts to reply.

Actually I did not understand your suggestion. I need to clarify few more things
    1. I am still using GLB 502T for the desktop in our drawing room.Again I will repeat that we are ensuring only one modem is ON at a time
    2. from the bedroom telephone connection, I am using it ONLY for router connection and no other telephone is connected to it.
    3. I switched on the GLB 802C and did not connect my LAPTOP LAN cable to it. Even in this situation the router is automatically disconnecting after @20 seconds

hope for some solution from you. thanks

    1. understood .
    Drawing room==bsnl JN==rj11==adsl splitter==GLB502T/PHONE
    Modem actually is direct connection.
    2
Bed room PORT =====>>> glb802C modem
    3.
Glb802C every 20 seconds "automatically disconnecting"
( No system connected to modem)
Explain. Not clear. disconnected ?How you check ?
Internet is disconnected or power is going off ?All LEDS go off?
    suggestion:
(a)Interchange the modems . to confirm glb802c is not faulty.
Presume GLB502T working OK ( with rj11 connected in Bedroom
    modem ( power off ).
    or
(b)Test with adsl splitter and phone connected. in Bedroom.
    (c)
    Check drawing room. modem now.
    Feedback.

    Essbebe,
Sorry, for the delay in reply, as I had to go on a small tour.
After coming back, I first implemented your suggestion (a) to interchange the modem.
On Interchange, the drawing room GLB 502T router was connected to bedroom telephone connection directly and it worked fine for 3 hours after which I disocnnected it (This confirmed that my laptop LAN card is fine). Afterwards, for the sake of curiosity, I connected back the GLB 802C to the bed room connection and to my surprise, it worked properly with out any problem for more than an hour. Even now I am writing to this thread using GLB 802C. My problem is solved, but for how long, God knows!!
Since the 802C is now working fine, I have not connected it to the drawing room, but will implement this also if need arises (hope it does not arise). But to sum up your suggestion solved my problem!!!! MANY THANKS

    suggestion:
--- This was checked by connecting the telephone connection to router directly and not connecting the LAN cable from Laptop to router (hence LAN LED did not glow at any point of time during the test). On power On, the power LED glows, the ADSL lamp use to blink first ( after some time) and then glow steadily. After approx. 15 seconds, the ADSL lamp will then stop glowing, and then again start blinking and again steady. the cycle goes on. In this whole process the power LED is always ON and steady.
