Thread: Suggestion required regards importing modem

I am thinking of importing one ADSL2+ N+ modem cum router from US like Linksys Cisco 160N etc. Will it be compatible in India, specially in Delhi (MTNL)... any suggestions from experts or anyone who has done this. Any other suggestions that I need to take care of. If itshould work here, plz do suggest some best featured N gigabit adsl modem routers.

What great benefit you get, except satisfaction that you have imported? What we need is a modem. Try to get something that cant be procured here, need not be broadband related. For example a drm digital radio modialeenabled radio receiver to receive signals of All India Radio, Delhi for 4 hours a day.on 6.1MHz shortwave. AIR transmits CD quality Digital signals. No such receivers are sold cheaply in India. if something is sold they are , i understand , charging a moon.


Linksys or Cisco modems with router are available right across Indian markets. All said , i feel that modem sold by MTNL would be cheaper. and works reasonably well.

I need some expert advice on modem cum router with these features, any one thats latest will do irrespective of budget. Eg could be WAG320N but available in India

(c) Gigabit 4 port router
(d) USB
