Thread: Help!

I shifted to MTNL Night Unlimited connection last week. On the first night, I was delighted to see that uTorrent downloads were above 70kbps! I managed to download 3 films in one night!

However, since the next day, the speeds have fallen and are only 20-30 kbps. How can I increase this? And what's the problem?

Please help!

the crap happned to u ,is the connection settings . currentlr mtnl is giving up to 2mbps to limited users and 256kbps to Night Unlimited users the speed u get on the first night is 2mbps and then the mtnl has reduced u r speed to 256kbps which means u can download at the speed of only 256/8 i.e up to 28 kbps depending upon length of telephone line from u r exchange to home . it usually gives good up to 2 kilometers .......as NU pack u have come in list of erratic customer list of mtnl so they have reduced the speed .......

higher speed only for novice users so that they can finish their pack early and they can charge for more mb consumed ....corporate strategy at its best .....

OMG! Is this true? This is ABSOLUTE bullshit. I will stick with it cos I have no choice but this really sucks.

However, here's a point: I tried downloading files from Rapidshare and it downloaded them at 100+ kbps! Strange! Does it do this only to P2P software???

no its permanent line uasge limit u will get that for few days only till they correct it........till then ENJOY
