Thread: how to configure beetel 450 bx1 adsl2 + modem with mtnl

I have recently switched to mtnl from airtel. I have beetel 450 bx1 adsl2 + modem. Can anyone pls help to configure it with the mtnl triband?

If Beetel450BXI supplied by Airtel
192.168.1.1 userid admin PW password.
Access menu pages
Present connection will be Airtel1 _32 link
Check VPI/VCI ) 0 and 32 is available ( for MTNL)

or edit.

Select and if on dialer mode earlier , Save reboot.
Log in external dialer and try.
DNS may have to be changed to MTNL or Google 8.8.8.8 and 208.67.220.220(opendns)

Check sig link WA3002-G4 for screen shots and settings for
Always On PPP/PPPoE mode ( UserId and PW
entered in wan Page ) & wifi mode.

Hello essbebe, hope you could help with this. I have a Beetel 450 TC1 router from Airtel (my earlier connection). I confiured it with my MTNL connection with the username and password also.

The internet seems to work with Ethernet RJ45 cable but not with wifi. I also followed with the screenshots from other posts for settings. The problem i face is with the Interface setup-->Wireless page. My page settings do not match with the normal standard settings. The authentication Type Dropbox is grey and I cannot edit it? By default i also see a MGMNT network SSID with the router to which also I'm not able to connect.

I also did reset my router and keyed in the settings. I want to use the wifi with my laptop and my mobile device with a security key.

I have also uploaded the screenshots for your reference. Can you please help me?

Are you on "Dialer" Mode ?
Change to PPP/PPPoE mode. Uncheck "Bridged"
1. Radius server not needed.delete all entries. entry for AirtelISP ? screen shot No 4.

change to manual and select channel 11.

If you have to enter your userID/PW in an external window in the computer.
("Bridged: mode in wan page of modem selected )

Uncheck "Bridged" select PPP/PPPoE
enter userID/PW in modem page.

I've check I'm always on the PPP/PPPoE mode. Bridge deactivated. But when i remove the IP addreses from the Radius (Image 4) it says, IP address field cannot be blank. The wireless page fields do not match with the settings on the MTNL website. foe example it has the WEP key option which I do not see on my page. Is there any setting which I need to do to? Appreciate if you can explain step by step. I can upload more snapshots if you want?

Try without security key.
check authentication box for options.

In some other wifi router radial server entries were left blank. will confirm if needed. ( I think meant for VPN). You don't normally see this option in most wifi routers.

Yes i've been throuh that link earlier from your earlier posts. The Authentication type field under Interface setup-->Wireless is grey and I do not get WEP settings there instead I have the WPA2 tab. Are there any settings I need to change under Access Management-CWMP, etc? Uploaded the current connection status and also the Access Management CWMP status.

This is meant for Airtel to check you modem settings etc and to update fiimware. Not needed.
disable both boxes.Will not make a difference for wifi problem.
2. The firmware is different, and a FW update is available. but not advisable now.

BACKUP present setting in modem menu, and save to say C:/My Documents /450tci lan mode ok .
Then RESET to factory settings. and redo .

You have not mentioned whether you tried without security key for a wifi connection.

Click Configure. Is it enabled ?
Check other options also.
Also power management.

SSID name appears in list of available wifi connections ? Yours or any other nearby wifi networks.

somehow I managed to add the users with the Airtel secure Wifi software online. I created users with it and added my two computers which got registered with their MAC addreses. Its working now but still with a WPA key. I guess its the firmware problem and hence my GUI is not the which is common. Thanks for your help.

i have 450tc1 which i was earlier using with airtel. now i have shifted and i am trying to configure it with mtnl. after doing all the things mentioned here, my broadband is working but i cannot still use wifi as for SSID i had written mtnl. when i am trying to connect it kept asking for a security and is not connecting.

Remove all encryption and try connecting. Check whether it works. If ok, then you can add encryption.

1. SSID name is not critical. Mine is KK.
what is the key you entered in router ?
( some routers restrict usenly letters a to g and numbers 1 to 9 allowed. )

Log in to the modem. In the wireless page, you will find an option to choose between different encryption and also a choice as " Not encrypted ".

Kindly Help me. I have a 450TC1 ADSL2+ Router from Beetel. My service provider is BSNL in Hyderabad. The technician is Inefficient in configuring this modem.

So I followed all the previous steps and trying very hard to configure it.

But after saving PVC2 for Virtual Circuit in Interface Setup and restarting the Modem mentioning clearly to use current settings the modem goes back to PVC0. I've been trying since a month and paying free Internet bill without using the internet. Kindly HELP

Deactivate all other PVC's

(2)Were you using it earlier with AIRTEL ?

Mention the Firmware version shown on top of Device info page.

Another suggestion is to use PVC0 and change VPI/VCi to 0 and 35
and put some random number say 3 35 in PVC2.
You cannot delete the /page settings for each PVC.
