Microsoft had applied this limit to ensure minimum damage caused by any virus.

You need to patch TCPIP.SYS file located in your system32 folder to push this limit to some greater number so that you can achieve the best results.

I think that step is included in the guide. Anyway, yea -- you are supposed to do that... my speed is normally 100-150 these days.

First ensure that your connection is not firewalled (or at least that your P2P client is in the "exclusions" list in the firewall).

MTNL issues dynamic IP addresses i.e. they change every time you log on to the net. So first, we need to make it static. Follow this guide...
PortForward.com - Free Help Setting up Your Router or Firewall

Next, find out your Modem model # (it's usually at the bottom). Mine was UT300R2U. Select it from this list...
PortForward.com - Free Help Setting up Your Router or Firewall

You'll see a list of programs. Click the one for which you want to set up the port forwarding. Just follow the step by step procedure. And you're done!

ONE IMPORTANT THING: The last step has to be done EVERY time you connect to the net i.e the step where you go to MTNL's page (you'll know which after you're through with the guide).

This worked for me. I get good speeds i.e. 60 -100+ kbps every night. Let me know if you encounter any difficulties here.

CAn u plz tell me the procedure in detail ??
thanK U.
