Thread: MTNL Broadband speed

I have the MTNL U/L plan 2 mbps in delhi. the max d/l speed at an anytime point of time i get from hotfile or megaupload or rapidshare is around 220-250 kbps.

is that slow ? am i supposed to get more. please let me have your views.

I think you made a mistake. You don't get 220-250 kbps but kBps.
Small b means bit and big B means byte.

1 byte = 8 bits

Therefore 2 Mbps (2048 Kbps ) / 8 = 256 Kbps

Your speed is just fine.

I think there should be a sticky thread for this info as now Im getting accross again n again ppl. getting confused between bits and BYTES
