    Thanks for the feedback.

Please create back up file for modem settings..
    Preferably in "Bridged" mode.

Watch thread for feedback please :

    PS: I don't use/have this modem.

    Only RESET may help.
If you get connected to Internet
either in DIALER ( Bridged) or PPPoE( USERID/PW stored in modem ), reason to access the modem settings has to be told to MTNL>

Take the modem in WORKING condition to MTNL ,
and say "to set Dialer Mode or PPP/PPPoE mode
unable to access modem menu pages".
Let MTNL RESET the modem !!!!

How Could They Change it Sitting in their offices? That is the question.

Mine got changed. I did a reset 2-3 months ago. All was fine until last week. It changed itself again. NO ONE ELSE can access the wireless, WPA2 64 Bit Alpha Numeric Key with a little symbols. No one can access the Modem physically and change it via LAN because I hung it behind the fridge
And anyways, no one else has the knowhow of such things at my home. Everyone can browse, check mails, facebook and all that but no one ever touches the settings. And we all use Ubuntu, So I don't think anyone might have hacked me without me knowing.

    So, I go again

How Could They Change the Username/Password sitting in their offices? That is the question.

I am so eager to know how they did it!

Presume you can now access modem menu settings with new ID and PW.
How did you get it?Did MTNL inform you ?
Are you on "dialer" mode ? enter userid/pw in system window to connect.

If you are on line: and even if you hide the Modem, it can be accessed!!!
    randomly. see link 192.168.1.1 below.
or If the Modem is RESET to factory settings.
Your Wireless security key has nothing to do with above.

If the modem is SAM300AX modem access ID is always admin ( default)
PW could be 1234. or admin ( similar modem I cannot change userID)
