Thread: MTNL Triband Connection resets after 6 hours

Hi Everyone

I have been facing a very unique problem since past few months. I am using MTNL Triband Mumbai. As I am a share trader, my work involves logging into my brokers network everyday at 9.00am. Exactly after 6 hours i.e. in this case at 3.00pm, I get disconnected, not only from the brokers system but overall internet just hangs up. Its not only with 3.00pm. If I start my modem later, the disconnection will also happen accordingly.

I changed my router but the problem persists. So that rules out the hardware issue at my end.

I have a second Airtel internet connection which keep going with any problem. So that rules out any problem at my brokers end.

I wanted to know if anyone else is also facing similar problems and if yes, what have they done to remedy it.

Nothing wrong with your connection... MTNL has a upper limit of the time duration before it forces you to reconnect. This is there expiry time for the External dynamic IP they give you.

I know this is idiotic, but hey this is MTNL we are talking about!
