Thread: OOOHHH NOO speed issue from 300 to 30

hmm.. HEy this is major incident atleast for me i had my dsl combo 495 (or whatever) plan for MTNL it was going fine with 300KBps as an average but today it dropped down to 30 KBps (i would rather die) the videos on youtube now takes 5 minutes to load for 1 min of video this is horribly scary

Did MTNL had any upgrades(downgrades?) or anything else HEY GUYS PLEASE HELP ME it cant live vith dis

I LIve in Navi MUMBAI or more specifically Panvel which is in Navi Mumbai which is in or near Mumbai

same problem here... till yesterday I was getting 2mbps but now my speeds have decreased to 512kbps...

even i'am facing exactly the same issue from last 2-3 days
i get around 30-35kbps which is pathetic (used to get 200-250kbps)
surfing is very sluggish
but aren't we supposed 2 get this kinda spped(320/8=40kbs)
i guess they provide high speed first then drop down to the real speed(i wish m wrong)
FCUK this now all i can do is hope

This is happening to almost everyone now...you will get speeds according to your plan only from now onwards....the lucky 2mbps or more speeds which we used to get was because the mtnl guys dint change the data rate in their servers for our respective number so I guess the golden lucky period is over
for eg- I am on the 512kbps Unlimited plan but from day 1 I used to get 2mbps Unlimited (Lucky me ) but suddenly since the past 2-3 days getting only 512kbps which I should get so...

Well I have

Two connections

1) The 1 Mbps connection never gave more than 170 kBps
Download speed.



2) Now the new one 256 Kbps connection gives 60 as an average
But once for a flash of seconde it went up to 270!!!
But then never again. Stable speed is 60.




Don't know about MTNL They must have been giving god speed. I don't live in Mumbai.

Same here viraj071.But are you getting proper 512kbps/64kBps speed.
I have 1Mbps/125kBps plan but now I am getting 0.8Mbps/100kBps which is not proper 1Mbps.
I guess the 2Mbps honeymoon is over as u say, but MTNL should give speed as per plan & not 80% of plan speed bcoz earlier i used to have reliance 1Mbps connection & used to get proper 1Mbps & slightly above i.e. 1.10Mbps.
My question to u & other MTNL users is:-
Are u getting proper 512kbps or 80% of plan speed?

No...even I am getting lesser speeds like 420-450kbps......already changed my ISP

okay my (dl)speed is back t0 normal (i.e 200-250kbps)

i am calling customer service everyday from past 7 days to resolve this issue. today they had nuts to tell me that "you are lucky you atleast getting 256 kbps on your 1 mb plan, others dont even have that"
and then i asked "will u bill me for this harrassment"
their reply "absolutely sir, u are using our service. you will have to pay the bill"

i say sue these fuckers for malpractices and consumer harrassment. any uncles here who are lawyers or want to make a media event out of shitty isp ethics?
