Default IP Address remains same

Hi Folks..

need some help..

Im using MTNL unlimited 256k Triband. the ADSL router is Dlink 502-t

The problem im having that im given an external IP address which remains same eg : 59.176.78.x
Earlier it used to change everytime i used to repower the ADSL router.

the problem is that the connection goes into no response state very often.. and the download breaks. you cannot resume downloads immidiately on many sites niether can use download managers[ eg: rapidshare.com]

this is causing the loss.. as i find no use paying for unlimited when most of my downloads dont get completed..

is there anyway i can get my ip changed like earlier to different ones..??

any help highly appreciated. thanx !

@ danrockd , have you changed to unlimited internet plan
recently ? if I remember correctly , all MTNL unlimited plan
users get a static IP for their internet connection . if it is
so then you may have to use a utility to change your IP ...

Dont know anything about reducing speed but to getyour IP changing everyday register at
No-IP - Dynamic DNS, Static DNS for Your Dynamic IP

Thats site ^^ also offers free Dynamic IP useful for hosting servers for games.
