    Default MTNL Broadband Issues.

    Hi,
Has anyone tried explaining SNR Margin & Line Attentuation numbers to an MTNL Wire man to get the Issue resolved.
Since my phone went dead abt 2 weeks ago & was repaired, my SNR has fakllen below 6 & Attentuation is as high as 48...
The LTNL line is ok(Phone chal raha hain to line theek hain - as per MTNL wireman)
Have tried numerous ways to raise complaints with MTNL but they don seem to co-ordinate between broadband & Line.

    Anyone has some options...?

    Regards,
    Addy...

get the number of your LOCAL MTNL exchange BROADBAND department

call your your LOCAL MTNL exchange BROADBAND department -> tell him the complaint

that's what I did, when I faced the exact same scenario...

Hi, Addy.I have a few suggestions but before that, how/in what way is your broadband affected i.e.loss of connectivity or reduced speeds, etc.
Regarding, MTNL wireman u seriously can't expect him to understand things like SNR margin & attenuation, etc., after all they are not very literate to say the least.Myself,I don't even bother bcoz uske sar ke uper se jayegaa.
If he tells u "No Idea", tell him to "Get Idea"
Apparently u r unaware of separate broadband dept. in MTNL.Initially, I wasn't either.U can go to exchange in your area & contact the person in charge of that dept.
U can also submit a written application to QCS dept also mentioning that u would change your ISP if the problem is not solved at the earliest.

In my experience, calling MTNL does very little to help solve the problem. The best way to get a problem with MTNL solved is to visit the exchange or Sanchar Haat in person and assert firmly (but politely) that your problem be resolved.

Default Problem with MTNL internet connection

Apologies for posting my problem in this thread: could not open a new thread for some strange reason...

I got a new MTNL connection last week - 450TC1 modem/router (wireless connection for 2 laptops, running on Windows XP and Windows 7). It worked fine for 2 days and then abruptly stopped.
Apart from the power light on the modem, the 'DSL' and the 'Internet' light used to glow when everything was working fine. Now, the internet light never comes on. If I connect the LAN cord, I'm able to access the 192.168.1.1 page, but am not able to connect to the internet.
I've filed complaints, over 10 MTNL technicians have visited my house over the past 4 days, but no one has been able to figure out the solution! They tried changing the modem, reconfiguring on the computer, even switching the ports at the server end - but still no solution.

Has anyone experienced a similar problem? Please help!! Would really really appreciate - am at my wits end now!
