    Default Cannot download torrents

I just got a new connection today. Everything is working fine but I am not able to download torrents. I don't see the small green tickmark.

Wow I found the answer. It was posted here by a guest. I am quoting him

    ok here is the solution:
first of all open internet explorer
    >type this ip address 192.168.1.1
    >user name admin
    >password admin
    in your router setting page
    >click on advanced setup tab..ok..then
    >click on NAT
    >after this click on Virtual Server
    >a page will opns
    type this setting
application: utorrent (or whatever torrent client you are using)
    protocol: ALL
    start port number:45682
    end port number:45682
local ip adress: your static ip number

after this click on save !! done

That was the quote from another thread

Now my tip. This is for utorrent. Click on options then preferences and go to connections. There you will see 'Port that is used for incoming connections' and a box next to it. The number in the box is the same number that you must type for start port and end port above(here 45682). And in utorrent you must keep the option 'Randomize port each start' unmarked. That's it!
Now for your local IP address,

Go to Network and Sharing Centre in control panel

    Connection ... View Status

    Properties

double click Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) Properties

The IP address there is your local IP address.

That's all! Your utorrent will work fine!

    Default

I experienced the same issue while using sify broadband long time back and this is what I did to get around this issue : http://www.indiabroadband.net/sify-b...broadband.html (Torrents not working on sify broadband)

I am not implying that my way is better then the one you using.. just thought this link would help some one who lands up on this page looking for a solution so they would have two things to choose from.
