    Default Beetel450TCI connection problem

    New thread by @anukrishnan
    Link:http://www.indiabroadband.net/mtnl-b...tml#post327942 (MTNL Broadband Issues.)
Apologies for posting my problem in this thread: could not open a new thread for some strange reason...
    I got a new MTNL connection last week - 450TC1 modem/router
(wireless connection for 2 laptops, running on Windows XP and Windows 7).

It worked fine for 2 days and then abruptly stopped.
Apart from the power light on the modem, the 'DSL' and
the 'Internet' light used to glow when everything was working fine.

Now, the internet light never comes on.
If I connect the LAN cord, I'm able to access the 192.168.1.1 page,
but am not able to connect to the internet.

I've filed complaints, over 10 MTNL technicians have visited my
house over the past 4 days, but no one has been able to figure out
    the solution!

They tried changing the modem, reconfiguring on the computer,
even switching the ports at the server end - but still no solution.

Has anyone experienced a similar problem?
Please help!! Would really really appreciate - am at my wits end now!
    (1)Mention OS used.

copy paste data ONLY for LAN connection.

    (4)download this application and apply.

I cross-checked with your screen shots - they are exactly the same except for:
    1. I am using PV0 (does that make a difference?)
    2. Under DHCP settings, it has additional data - port numbers being used - where (1) and (4) are checked

Apart from the above, everything is exactly the same, router is enabled etc.

Also, under the diagnostics tool, I am getting the first 2 as PASS, but the other 4 as FAIL

See post NO 7 again >
Did you confirm from MTNL whether they could connect to Internet
    with your userID and PW?

    if YES check:
whether laptop can work in MTNL exchange ( If possible to test )

whether your modem is selecting MTNL DNS
    Preferred DNS server: 203.94.227.70
    Alternate DNS server address: 203.94.243.70

If Mumbai or Delhi check in
    http://www.ip2location.com/free.asp
    Check in ipconfig /all

Thanks, am downloading and running it right now (sockfix)...
I have not checked with MTNL if my user ID and passwrd is working in the exchange - will try to do that tomo morning as soon as their offices open.
And yes, MTNL DNS is the one being selected.
Don't know what else could be the problem?

OS windows 7 and Windows XP
    Winsox application applied/used..
They tried changing the modem, reconfiguring on the computer,
even switching the ports at the server end - but still no solution.
    In laptop:
    Network
    lAN properties
    tcp/ip
    Properties
    Select "Obtain IP address automatically"

    DNS:
    Obtain automatically.
    Apply Save.
    2.
    againipconfig /all
what is the laptop's Ip address now. ??
    copy/paste here:

    (1)
Copy/paste data here. ipconfig /all LAN only.

    (2)
    In Network settings Properties/network settings
On top ethernet card box . Select configure.
Ensure "enabled" . Check drivers update..

    (3)
Also the DHCP Range you had given in the modem.

    (4)
What was the result of MTNL trying your userID/PW from Exchange ?
What improvement you found after applying Winsox ?

Hey Essbebe... My internet just started working!!
I got a call from MTNL guys - apparently it was a problem with my account profile as well as the wiring at the main exchange!
After 1 week of no MTNL broadband and MTNL guys coming to my house everyday and scratching their heads, they finally managed to rectify the fault and now its working!!

I cant thank you enough for your support and your patient replies to all my queries...
    Just added to your reputation.
    Thanks once again

What was the result of MTNL trying your userID/PW from Exchange ?
    probably the problem was here.
Better to save as screenshots all the modem pages ( now in working condition )
There is no provision to BACK UP the settings in this model, .

    Rep[22++ for feedback
