Thread: SMC ADSL2/2 + Modem Router problem

Dear Friends, I have just pucrhased a SMC7901WBRA2 product for my home wireless internet connection.

The modem simply doesnt work at my home. All settings are perfect as per the instalaltion guide. One of my colleague has the same modem and we just compare page by page every settings , its all same ..but somehow , modem fails to work, while the MTNL link is stable.

I lodged complain at MTNL they called me to exchange and tested the modem, it works in the exchange but doesnt work at home. For testing they gave me their old UTstarcom modem, surprsingly it works fine with no issues.

Just to inform you , this is new MTNL connection in my home, and I have tried to configuring modem with wired and wirless both ways but no success.
I have really given up now and posted a techiical query to the SMC team , but dont know when will they answer the same.
One of my friend suggested to post this question on this wonderful website .So here Iam, if anyone of you know any clue about behaviour of this SMC product , your help will be apprecited.

What is the firmware version ? your friend's and your model ?
