Hi,

I want to purchase ADSL modem for MTNL triband connection (Mumbai). Which is the best modem available. One of my vendors suggested Beetel ADSL modem is good and Airtel is providing these modem along with their broadband connection. How is it and where is it available in Mumbai.

well i don't thing beetel will work with mtnl you should try d-link modem. it is good and reliable. I am using one dlink- 502T and it is good will surely work with Mtnl.

I find WA3002-g4 (UT Satrcom) to be an excellent choice. It is available with MTNL. It is modem cum router (wireless) and has 4 LAN ports.

I suggest the Linksys AM300. Expensive compared to D-link but never read about a problem with it anywhere. As for Netgear I could not find a wired Netgear ADSL2+ modem in India with one port. D-link is problematic and its something I keep reading and hearing quite frequently. The AM300 is also the most compact among modems from respectable brands like Linksys, D-link,etc
