I have recently installed MTNL Triband at home.Iam using utorrent also.How can I port forward for this client.Iam using wifi and the IP is dynamic.

I am not using LAN cable to connect internenet to my laptop.

You should not use a dialer to connect.
Use PPPoE mode ( userid/pw entered /stored in wan page)

usually Port Forwarding Guides Listed by Manufacturer and Model - PortForward.com lists the routers and applications for port forwarding. try there also.

Your 'STATIC"ip will be 192.168.1.X ( system) modem 192.168.1.1
check ipconfig /all

No idea what above means. Presume you have selected PPPOA/PPPoEmode in your modem.

WE connect our modem either in "BRIDGED" or PPPoE mode.
difference former you use a dialer
and enter your USERID PW in computer Dialer screen( window )
and for PPPoE ( in modem) system should connect automatically.

Check the screen shots here and yours should be identical.

You can port forward even with dynamic IP. Check portforward.com, you will get a lots of guides with screen shots.

Say checked Portforward.com and still cannot use a Static IP.etc

Post as atttachment (jpg) picture screen shot of the PF page with entries you have made.
