Thread: Want to take MTNL Broadband connection but have doubts..

I want to apply for a MTNL broadband connection. But I have a few questions before I go and apply:

(1) I stay on rent in North Delhi. But there is a change that I move to new location within Delhi in next few months time. How easy/difficult is it to carry my connection with me?

(2) I don't want a telephone connection from MTNL. Will MTNL provide me ONLY broadband connectivity where I stay?

(3) What is the time I get connected after applying?

(4) Experience users, how did you find the service?

I am about to switch over to MTNL as well as it has been said to one of the good ones around in Mumbai. I am not sure about a couple of your questions as I myself have not started using their services. However as for your questions go:

No they wont, you will need a working telephone connection from MTNL to use their services.

(3) What is the time I get connected after applying?
Depends on how busy your local area MTNL office is. Can go from 1 week to 1 and half month. You will have to inquire about this with your local MTNL exchange.

1 - Somewhat Difficult (Mainly Time Consuming , But I am not sure.)
2 - Not Possible.
3 - Within A Week, Max 6 days (Unlikely)
