How long you are using this Netgear DGN1000? old or new ?

I bought this last week from Nehru Place.
I am using it at my home.
All settings were configured by the Netgear Support People.
contact customer care of Netgear.

You seem to be unhappy withthe suggestion made here to contact Netgear.
Within a week, if the user attempts FW upgrade etc, without really knowing the problem, company may not replace a "DUD" unit.
If you are prepared to try your self the setting in the router and system, you have to give feed back here for queries raised.
If you are an old user of BB and familiar with the "jargon" members will
try to help you out.
To start: try to change Mod mode to GDMT.
Any other adsl modem in use ?

Even MTNL Modem seems to be a chinese local one, but still no such issue was faced by me in that as well.
Now I bought a good quality Modem of Netgear, and facing such kind of problem, that LAN and Wireless connections both gets disconnected automatically after half hour or one hour.
Please reply me, otherwise I will go to the place where I bought this modem, and will ask for money back or replacement.
My LAN also gets disconnected, not only WAN.
This value is set to my modem as 1420. (In my previous modem, it was set to 1492)

Any Adsl modem needs minimum input to get connected to Internet.
Since you have an old ("ANAMIKA") modem, try it again and confirm you get connected to internet.
Then try the new NETGEAR DG1000 and cd installation,if any supplied.
VPI/VCI for MTNL 0 and 32 DNS use google 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.
Check connection status. Post as screenshot ( attachment jpg ) picture here.
If the old "Anamika" BSNL modem is still working
Exchange for a NetGear WGR614V9 wifi router only.
and use both.
I do not know whether you could surf in LAN mode or Wifi mode with the new Netgear model. at least for say 5 minutes.
It "disconnects automatically" from MTNL is a vague statement.
I am facing the same problem with Netgear N150 ADSL 2+ router. I recently changed my MTNL line, changed the splitter. Even got a replacement from the netgear router.. got the firmware upgraded. Less diconnects, but still facing the same problem. D-Link was is working fine when checked with alternate modem.
Other ADSL modem are working fine. Why cant netgear maintain a steady connection ? it disconnects in every 30 minutes.
