Thumbs up Very Happy, Amazing Plan for Heavy Downloaders !!

This is my current speed in day time, when usage is pretty high. I am using 749 NU plan by MTNL Delhi. The speed is 2Mbps, usually 1.5 - 2.5 Mbps. Data download limit during day is 1.25GB, i.e around 42Mb per day, which is pretty good just for chatting, calling, browsing and working. Uploading is Free, that means You can upload as much as you want , it won't be counted in 1.25GB data limit.

At Night, from 0000hrs to 0800hrs it is free. So since you can download around 800MB in one hour, you can download 7x800MB certainly, even more than that as 1hr for other use, etc

Download Speed is on an average 210kbps, which is very good

I have used so many Broadbands, and to be honest, MTNL is the best one without doubt.

well this is indeed a good plan,
but how do u cope up with switching on and off the dsl modem so that u use the unlimited bandwidth at night??

it will be very easy to forget to switch this thing on and off...and then get into a blunder..

just imagine that u downloaded 7x800 mb of data at night and forgot to switch off the modem at 8000 hrs in morning...and u would know in the next bill cycle that u got bankrupt??

How do u cope up with this ****.

These indian isp providers have always been offering **** to the indian customers.

Well that is a good question and important one too. What I do is since I am a student, I get up @ 7:30 am and switch the modem off or any of my family member would do it as I've explained it to them. You can set up the alarm and just get up before 8 and switch the modem off and go back to sleep . The day I am not sure if I will be able to get up, like sundays i don't use it that day. Hope this helps.

a silly doubt...does kb/s in your screenshot mean kilobits per second or kilobytes per second...

ia m asking this cause i saw another post where the guys talks about speed something like this: 64kbps (8kb/s)

    Upload Speed right ? It is kilobytes/sec, avg upload speed is 25 kilobits/sec (200 kb/s) and download speed is 224 kilobits/sec (1792 kb/s).

well buddy no need to wake up early morning or worry about anything its easy the other way round
you can use the shedular from whatever you are downloading it from or else the best use an Autopc shutdown as u will configure this ... the pc would get auto shut at 8 am or as u want it to be
relax u dont need to be a student for this plan lol
    enjoy..

This is really good. If they are offering such good speed then i would surely like to go with them as i like to download like hell.

I am not getting this much speed with my present Airtel connection. I am getting some 20-30 kbps downlod speed which i think is not a good for large size downloads.

    @gurnani

ofcourse uploading is free, but as salaxzar mentioned, it is capped to < 256k, but it is unlimited. Anyway, overall i haven't come across any better plan with any other ISP here in New Delhi

hey dwarka.chary,i am already using bridge connection.I have enabled the port that i use with azureus and bitcomet on my firewall(enabled both the tcp and udp).with azureus, when i test for port forwarding, the result is "ok".
However bitcomet prompts me that the port status is unknown.

So i was wondering if i need to forward the port on my router as well?
I am using a wa3002-g1 router provided by mtnl(manufacturer is UTStarCom most probably).

How do i port forward it?Already searched the forum, could not find conclusive answers.

If uPnP is enabled ,then is it so that the ports are already forwarded on my router?

While downloading torrents, I get average Speed of 208kbps Downloading and Top Speed 216kbps, just to put my experience. One should set uploading Speed to Max 12kbps to reach above 200kbps. Hope this helps Cheers

The easiest way is to set the utorrent software to schedule downloading start at 12 o clock and end it on 8 am in the morning. It works without fail 100% of the time except human errors
