Thread: Belkin ADSL2+ router config HELP!

I recently purchased the Belkin Play Max router and i am not able to configure it!
I gave everything required username\password but still no luck.
The part number is F7D4401 v1

PLEASE HELP

ADSL modem

For MTNL VPI VCI is 0 and 32.
Select PPPoE mode
enter/store your MTNLID/PW
enable NAT DNS auto or google 8.8.8.8. and 8.8.4.4
SAVE reboot.
Confirm you are connected to Internet in LAN mode.

Belkin WIFI;
Select Dynamic IP.

If above Ok, SSID should appear in laptop.

PS: confirm which adsl modem , you are using now to connect to Internet.

Tried everything you said! But no luck and currently i am using Sterlite SAM300AX.
And yes the screen shots above are the same as mine

Confirm
you get connected to Internet automatically, when system/modem switched on.
( In Internet Interface Internet vpi/vci 0 32 userid/pw etc entered )
In LAn page DHCP enabled.
Then connect one rj45 cable fromSAMAX300 Lan 1 to WAN port of Belkins wifi router. From Lan2 another Rj45 to computer/desktop as usual.

Desktop gets connected to Internet.

Belkins auto setup CD will do the required settings.
In the unit , I think a default SSID and Security key also provided.

My met works through the SAM300AX router. My belking modem does not have a WAN port. It only has 4 LAN ports and 1 ADSL2+. When i turn the modem on the green light blinks and it gets stable for 10 sec and during that time windows shows that there is internet acess after that the solid orange light comes and no net access

SAMax300 settings NO change.
Presume connecting rj11 to belkins ADSL modem +4lanport + wifi router.
Is there a switch WPS in the model ?

they did't jus tell me to restore....
they talked me thru all the steps for reset, even waited for restarting the system, gave me alternate ip addresses and setting, had me try various settings.

the call lasted for over an hour but was satisfactory.
they even called me back wen i got disconnected to give me the name and address of the store where i can get it replaced.
